SERVICE ENGINEER HYDRAULIC EXCAVATORS - KOMATSU

Komatsu Botswana is looking for a Service Engineer Hydraulic Excavators to fill the vacant post in their Botswana Office.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:
Mining Excavator (PC 1250 – PC2000 - PC3000 – PC5500 - PC8000)

• Handles pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and infield assembly including the installation of separately packed work equipment and guidance and provides instructions at delivery
• Conducts periodic maintenance and inspection service
• Plan and provide preventive maintenance, factory campaign, troubleshooting and TSI
• Provides overhaul and repair of components
• Knowledgeable in KOMTRAX, K-Plus, RM Care, Komatsu proprietary systems essential
• Responsible for timely and accurate response to failure occurrence including warranty claims
• Ensure the correct installation of all PEX components and the responsible for the startup and completion of the required documentation
• Conduct hands on training on trouble shooting and repairs to the electronic systems

Fundamental Skills and Basic Knowledge

• High level technical competence
• Machine operation skills
• Machine components, structure and functions
• Equipment structure, function and maintenance
• Proven experience on Komatsu mining shovels

Qualifications and Skill

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledgeable on Komatsu machines’ structure and function
• Able to analyze drawing technical diagrams
• Able to perform Komatsu component trouble-shooting, failure analysis and system repair
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working on Hydraulic Excavators
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong understanding of safety practices
