The Junior Technical Associate (JTA) works in close collaboration with a team of Senior Technical Associates (STAs) to support the development, implementation and evaluation of technical assistance interventions in line with approved plans and corporate policies and project management systems.
Job Description
Work collaboratively with the team to support the development and implementation of results-driven, high impact technical assistance strategies
Support the planning and delivery of technical assistance interventions
Provide support in the design and delivery of quality management plans and activities Provide administrative and logistic support
Monitor the assigned components of the project budget
Provide input and support in the development and maintenance of a results-based performance tracking system Implement efficient financial management of all relevant contracts
Assist in the preparation and submission of client invoices, ensuring they are submitting in a timely and accurate manner Draw up sub-contractor contracts and ensure sub-contractors have received contracts terms of reference
Assist in the processing of invoices. Assist in the compliance with IMS requirements and Group Directives Participate in cross-project planning to resolve conflicts in project priorities, resourcing, schedule and scope. Assist in the preparation and writing of project reports Attend project meetings Assist in planning, coordination and execution of projects with a clear focus on risk management and cross-functional stakeholder communication in a fast-growing and dynamic environment Provide input on project proposal opportunities Assist the Business Development Manager and other Bid Managers with the development of proposals Assist with the development of technical proposals Assist with the preparation of budgets
Assist with the preparation of work-plans Preparation and formatting of proposals and supporting documentation Assist with the sourcing of individual team/project members

Candidate Specification
Under-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline (public health, international development, health sciences, health service management); or, diploma qualification in relevant discipline and track-record of relevant career achievement; Other relevant professional designations are a significant advantage. Significant of professional experience related to technical assistance or consultancy services; Significant of advanced level project support (planning, budgeting, programmatic & financial tracking & reporting); Advance level experience in client relations, including consultants, organisations, companies and other similar entities. Comprehensive knowledge of HIV and AIDS and related health and development;
Knowledge of relevant technical areas:
strategic & operational planning; M&E; programme development; international development, and others. Budgeting & budget tracking; Report writing; Service contract administration;
Invoicing and payments; Excellent skills in oral & written English Competent documentation & analysis skills, backed up by sample submission; Competence in negotiation, diplomacy and tact; Demonstrated collaborative work style in a complex, cross-cultural environment.
