Kgaswe School, in Palapye, requires teachers to fill Primary positions and high school. Available fields for the High school are Setswana, Geography, English, Physics, Mathematics, French, English and ICT.

The school is a well established independent, co-educational primary and secondary school for pupils situated in central Botswana. The school is a member of the conference of heads of Private Schools.

Pre-Primary Teacher

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor of education (early childhood)
• A good understanding of the early years learning framework
• 5 years experience teaching in a recognized English medium school

Roles and responsibilities

• A good level of computer literacy
• At least knowledge of first Aid basic certificate

Primary and High School Teachers
Kgaswe high school is looking for teachers of the above top mentioned subjects.

Qualification & experience

• All candidates require recognized four year master, diploma or degrees, in education, in their relevant fields, and at least 5 years experience teaching in a recognized English medium school.
Roles and responsibilities

• Incumbents will be expected to plan and organize the day to day running of the primary or high school classes, as well as becoming fully involved in the school extra-curricula programme.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and practices is essential, especially those applicable to their sections.
• A full practical knowledge of the IGCSE syllabus and the ability to teach several subjects, fluency in English will be a highly added advantage.

Terms and conditions of the appointment

• An initial, 3-year renewable contract offers a competitive and benefits package, which is commensurate with the responsibilities of the position. The package will include provision for the school’s contribution to a pension and or gratuity and medical aid scheme
• A residence will be provided
• There will be a regular review of performance and remuneration
• The school will pay reasonable relocation expenses
• A contract will be agreed with the preferred candidate
• The date for taking up the appointment is 1st January 2015
