Building an innovation strategy and ecosystem is the objectives of SAP Africa Growth Plan. The Africa Innovation Agenda Project Lead is accountable for driving innovations that are unique in Africa with great potential to contribute to reaching the growth targets in this market from ideation to productization, including the creation of an innovation strategy, establishing co-innovation relations with customers and partners, determining how to market, sell, service and support the new solution.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
-Act as an entrepreneur for business innovations in the Cloud powered by HANA in the African market. Lead the innovation work stream of the Africa growth plan and provide strategic alignment with global P&I organization. -Investigate expansion of innovation to Africa in close alignment with global development organization. -Drive co-innovation projects with customers and partners on next-generation software solutions in the strategic topics. Oversee the development and growth of profitable new co-innovation models. -Provide domain expertise input to define viable business cases for key innovations on the continent. -Establish operations and governance, syndicate business planning and execution capabilities. Act in close alignment with the President and COO of SAP Africa, work intensively with relevant teams in development (Product Innovation board area), key customers, partners, governmental entities and universities. -Establish strong and sustainable relationships with all stakeholders. Set up the right structures and channels for valuable collaboration.
WORK EXPERIENCE
-10+ years in customer- and/or partner-facing roles like Business Development, Consulting, Development, Presales, Industry Principal or E&C. -5+ years of previous work experience in building strong customer relationships. Capable of leading and influencing at executive level and working well with customer or partner executives globally. -Strong intercultural understanding. Ability to adapt technological to specific market requirements in emerging markets.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
-Profound understanding of SAP technology (Cloud, Mobile, Big Data) with industry expertise in two or more industries (Telecom, Banking, or Transportation preferred). -Desire to foster innovations from ideation to productization. -Proven track record of successfully managing multiple, large scale ,complex and cross functional projects. -Strategic thinker with the capability to develop business needs into technological requirements. -Strong stakeholder management capabilities. -Ability to take ownership and work successfully within small and dynamic teams. -Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization. -Education in business administration, economics, computer sciences, marketing, or equivalent subject from an accredited universityJob Location - Pretoria
