Head – FNB Insurance Brokerage
The purpose of this job is to develop and implement an insurance business plan with regards to the business operations of FNB Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd (FNBIB).
The focus of the role will be to ensure that the insurance business is operated under reasonable governance and compliance principles. The other focus is to grow non-interest revenue for FNBB through the business performance of FNB Insurance Brokerage.
Requirements
The core duties are:
- Strategy development and implementation of insurance business unit
- Ensure good governance is applied to the business operations
- Manage a comprehensive insurance risk management plan that encompasses:
- Compliance with industry legislation
- Risk management of key insurance risk indicators
- Risk based audit on insurance sales and operations processes
- Head secretariat function of the Insurance Risk Sub-Committee
- Relationship management of internal and external business stakeholders
- Develop and implement a sales and service strategy
- Develop and implement non-interest revenue growth strategy
- Ensure that prudent financial management principles are applied in the operations of the business unit
- Develop and implement a HR plan strategy for the business unit
- Play a liaison role between Insurers and FNB business units
- Renew and manage the FNB Holdings insurance policy (Group and local)
- Centralize and manage insurance operations
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Business management or insurance related degree
- Post Graduate insurance qualification
- Certificate of Proficiency in short term insurance
- Knowledge of ACTS relevant to the insurance industry
- At least eight years’ experience in insurance management
- Understanding of the key features of relevant laws and regulations of Botswana
