ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE MANAGER

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist the MAINTENANCE MANAGER GRAND PALM RESORT, with the following:
To assist the MAINTENANCE MANAGER GRAND PALM RESORT, with the following:
- All maintenance work in the Complex.
- Maintaining all reticulation services such as water, drainage, electricity, gas, air – conditioning etc.
- Deal with and direct the execution and solving of all Maintenance related matters.
- Planning and organising of Maintenance staff with regard to operating procedures.
- Maintaining all plant and equipment necessary to operate the Complex operations.
- Budgetary controls, staff budgets, stores budgets and income statements.
- All project management of in-house projects, development of staff and the administration of the department.
- All maintenance requests from other departments ensuring that they are acted upon promptly and efficiently.
- Ensuring proper management and support of staff to enable them to provide service at the set standards.
- Scheduling of duty rosters, ensuring that there is sufficient staff to cover all duties.
- Ensuring regular on –job training is carried out with staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- The successful candidate must possess a Tertiary qualification in Engineering, or related field and will also be a technical expert on the maintenance and operation of process and utilities equipment.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field.
- Computer literate MS Word, Excel.
- Technical and Maintenance experience in a hotel environment an advantage.
- Highly self-motivated person with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Mechanical/Electrical background will be advantage
