CHIEF PILOT (VACC 005)
Purpose of the Job
Reporting to Director, Flight Operations, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall performance of all Air Botswana Pilots and for managing the day-to-day operations of the fleet, determining pilot resource requirements, ensuring discipline in the pilot body as laid out in the operations manual and human,, managing the human resources issues of the pilot body, resources manual, co-ordination of the pilot induction program and developing and implementing a critical injury response program for pilots. The candidate will be required to ensure compliance with the highest standards as laid down in the Air Botswana’s Flight Operations Manual.

Position Minimum Requirements
The candidate should have attained the required Commercial Airline qualifications and flying hours acceptable in Botswana, regionally and internationally. The candidate should have also attained ICAO proficiency level 4 certificate. A relevant degree in Airline/Transport Management or Business degree will be an added advantage. - Current and valid equivalent of a JAR-FCL ATPL licence
- Current and valid first class medical certificate issued by a recognised member country under the rules of the ATPL, issued within the last 5-6 months.
Experience should include at least 2 years’ experience as Training Captain and/or Fleet Manage on at least one of Air Botswana’s aircraft types.
