Entrepreneurial Agriculture Techniques (EAT) invites applications for the positions of Head of Training within the Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Farm Techniques Departments based at three different campuses.
EAT offers food production and farm technical courses tailored for a maximum practical approach to modern and relevant farming methods.
Basic Job Requirements:
The incumbent shall be responsible for Planning, directing, or coordinate the training and development activities and staff of an institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Head of Training, the following shall form part of his/her duties and Responsibilities:
1) Oversee the general management of the institution
2) Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programmes, providing recommendations for improvement.
3) Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
4) Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for staff members.
5) Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
6) Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
7) Prepare budgets for the institution
8) Prepare reports and present the same to the school owners
9) Conduct staff and student discipline
10) Be accountable for meeting projected targets for the institution – financial and student rolls.
11) Review and evaluate training and apprenticeship programs for compliance with government standards.
12) Prepare training budget for department or organization.

Requirements
Experience and Qualification
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Agricultural Education, Agricultural Research, Animal Science/Crop Production (for the Animal Production and Crop Production Field) or A Degree in a Technical related field with at least 3 years Management experience in an academic or research environment.
