Atlas Copco Botswana is looking for a Product Specialist.

PRODUCT SPECIALIST
ROCK DRILLING TOOLS(RDT)

Requirements

This position fills a strategic role in our effort to increase service level to our customers and thereby further grow our Rock Drilling Tools (RDT) business in Botswana.

Our products have a strong reputation on the market and we are considered one of the market leaders in Ground support and Rock Drilling Tools when it comes to quality and performance.

Your main Mission is to assist with growing the business and you will be in direct contact with our customers and products on the field. Your success will come through gathering market intelligence and thereby be able to offer our customers competitive solutions. You will work closely with our Product Managers to come up with best possible solution.

Focus areas are:

• Developing customer relations
• Product performance audits
• Monthly performance reports
• Monthly discard analysis reports
• Rock Drilling Tools management and reporting, including Care and Maintenance
• Training on Good Drilling Practice
• Monitor and implement controls on the management of All Rock Drilling Tools
• Ensure correct products and practices are being used

Experience requirements

Minimum 5 years experience from mining environment in general and Rock Drilling Tools in particular, is an advantage.

Educational requirements

Diploma/NCC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Personality requirements

You are service minded with a sound technical understanding. You have the ability to make own decisions in order to fulfill your mission. As you will work closely with both internal personnel, as well as directly with customers, you must be great at cooperating and interacting with people at all business levels. Most importantly, to be the right candidate for this challenge where you will safeguard the interests of the company in a highly competitive environment; you need to be trustworthy, reliable and take responsibility.
