BCL Limited is currently looking forward to employ suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

PROJECT MANAGER - GEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION

Reporting to the Divisional Manager - Corporate Strategy, the incumbent will be required to implement exploration plans in line with the Polaris II Strategy by translating the plans into identification of exploration targets, acquisition of relevant licences and overall management of the related geological processes in order to timely achieve the project exploration and legislative requirements.

Requirements

Key performance Areas

• Coordinates exploration target identification and license acquisition to ensure achievement of project timelines
• Manages geological data review, validation and generation of geological models in order to inform mining, metallurgical and finance plans
• Manages exploration projects and guides on development of tenders and awarding of contracts in order to secure the necessary resources to allow timely project execution
• Build relationships with all stakeholders to achieve effective cross functional collaborations
• Develop the geology financial budget in order to allow for adequate\ funding for the geological processes
• Develops and implement geological systems and frameworks for project geological reporting

Job Requirements

• Degree in Geology
• 8 years post qualification experience of which 3 years must have been at Management Level
• General knowledge of the mining industry
