SUPERINTENDENT PLANT IMPROVEMENT – CONCENTRATE PREPARATION

Reporting to the Manager – Metal Support and Support Services Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Achieving and maintaining high Safety, Health and Environment standards
• Providing support and service to the Metal Production operating departments with technical investigations, project initiation, justification, implementation and execution
• Carrying out specific plant improvement projects to minimise processes operating costs and improve metal output from the plant
• Providing service to the Level 1 employees and guiding them thorough optimal utilisation of best practice systems and processes

Requirements

Job Requirements

• B Eng/ BSc/ BTech or equivalent in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering
• Should have completed a formal graduate training program
• 6 Years post qualification experience in a base metal metallurgical environment
• Ability to train and develop subordinates
• Knowledge of project management systems would be an advantage
• Mineral processing and pyrometallurgical experience highly recommended
• Experience in metallurgical accounting would be an added advantage
• Experience in costs control and budget preparation
