The ADAC Division in the Acquisition Department has two vacancies for Senior Stock Verification Controller on a fixed term contract.
The purpose of this job is to physically verify DOD Stock in Armscor�s control and investigate discrepancies thereof for accountability on CALMIS/ OSIS Systems.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS
Develop a Stock verification plan.
Liaise continuously with all stakeholders (all Armscor defence related contractors and Programme Systems Managers (DoD) and Armscor APMs) regarding access to stock for physical verification.
Work with the stock control team to dispose of alienation serialised stock control items (SCI) to the suspense account. Authority must be obtained from the firearm control centre.
Investigate T&Cs and ETSs and submit status to Stock Control for processing.
Perform physical verification and investigate stock discrepancies for reconciliation on CALMIS and OSIS System.
Resolve system discrepancies in consultation with Stock Control Team.
Prepare progress reports for the Director: Asset Management and other forums.
Develop monthly and quarterly reports for consolidation by Supervisor: Stock Control.
Develop annual Stock take report for the GM and submission to the Chief of Logistics.
EXPERT ABILITY AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Grade 12 or equivalent
National Diploma in Administration or Equivalent will be a recommendation
4-5 years relevant working experience
Experience in a Military environment of disposals will be an advantage.
Understanding of Military and Armscor organisational structures
Some knowledge of Military products
Basic understanding of Project management principles
DoD CALMIS
Project document Management basic principles
Understanding basic PFMA and treasury regulations
DoD accounting understanding and basic principles
