The CSS Radar & EW Division of the Acquisition Department has three vacancies for Manager Technical.
The purpose of this job is To translate the SANDF Radar & EW requirements into contractual outputs and deliverables.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS
To interpret user requirements for Radar & EW systems
To create acquisition project port folio
To compile the acquisition plan (in various forms) and project budget
To define high level deliverables
To compile RFO/RFI documents
To establish value systems and contractual documentation
To provide technical advice to the client in the field of Radar & EW
To develop specifications in a broadly-defined project context with limited scope
To manage/perform Radar & EW project and engineering management activities in a broadly-defined multi-
disciplinary project context
To manage technical, financial and schedule performance of project
EXPERT ABILITY AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
BSc Eng / B Eng (Electronics) or equivalent
Qualification in Project Management and a Post Graduate qualification in Electronic Engineering will be a recommendation.
Minimum of 7 years engineering experience in RF Design, System Engineering and Project Management experience within the Radar environment (or similar) with at least 5years RF or Electro-optic projects.
Good interpersonal, communication, planning and organising skills
Strong technical thinker with problem solving and analytical abilities.
Advanced computer skills
