Sales Engineer - Surface Drills Southern Africa

The Role

To drive sales for a given Product Line by bringing the best of Sandvik's offerings to meet a given customer need and to meet BA mining profitability targets. Promote TCO approach to drive customer value.

• Responsible for achievement of budgeted revenue
• Responsible for Price quality in line with Sandvik's process and rules
• Develop sales opportunities for Sandvik product lines within the defined territory or set of customers
• Define Sandvik Offering using standard specification sheet
• Develop a sale plan for designated territory or set of customers
• Ensure customer is in compliance with Sandvik terms and conditions of sale
• Liaise between customers and Sandvik to ensure all issues are settled in a timely manner
• Provide the Company with regular reports of business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of the customer base
• Work as part of the account management team for local business
• Ensure sales tools is up to date with valid cases and customer reports
• Update Sales Tools
• Attend monthly DSB meetings

Your Profile

• 3 year Degree/Diploma in Mining/Mechanical Engineering or Marketing Management will be advantageous
• 5 years' experience in mining/technical or sales environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Sandvik Mining as well as customer business
• Mining, Management and technical background
• Computer literate – prove n competence in Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM Systems
• Intimate knowledge of Sandvik Surface products and applications
• Bilingual
• Business management knowledge and skills
• Sales and Marketing knowledge and skills
• Project management skills
• Good communication skills
• Business writing skills
• People Skills
• Presentation Skills
• Negotiation skills
• Management skills
• Team Player
