Duties and Resposibilities
- Ensure implementation and enforcement of the company's SHERQ system
- Ensure accurate field layout, provided set-outs and direction of mining work:
- Picking of blasting hole patterns, calculating meters and volumes of each blast
- Regular survey pickups of active areas
- Archive accurately all data in both soft and hard copies
- Work with mind design
- Calculate production volumes
- Ensure that all survey functions are compliant with all statutory survey requirements
- Ensure that all survey equipment is calibrated and maintained at all times
- Liaison with Client at all times in sharing survey information and implementation
Qualifications and Requirements
- A recognised Survey Diploma
- 5 years' experience in Open Pit Survey
- Good safety management track record
- Computer literate and in particular conversant with Model Maker Software
- Ability to manage sophisticated spreadsheet and Database
- Strong character, self-starter and can work within minimum Supervision
- Ability to work under pressure
- People management skills
