HUMAN PAPILLOMA VIRUS (HPV) VACCINATION
The Ministry of Health wishes to inform the public that Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccination will start on the 22nd to 26th February 2016. The HPV vaccine prevents cervical cancer.
The vaccination will be administered at primary schools to girls in standard 5 and at Health facilities to out of school girls aged 9-13 years.
Members of the public are requested to give health workers all the necessary support to ensure that all eligible girls receive the vaccine.
