Job Summary
To manage the OLDM operation’s training function including Technical & Leadership Development in order to meet organizational objectives

Requirements
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, Human Resources Development/Management, Social Sciences, or equivalent
- 7 years post qualification experience 3 of which should have been at middle management
- Completion of Management Development Programme (MDP) will be added advantage.
Key Effectiveness Areas
- Analyses the section’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensures sufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
- Analyses trends in the training arena, assessing their possible impact on the operation’s training, strategy makes recommendations to management and / adapts as necessary.
- Develops and manages implementation of the training strategy for the organization to meet set objectives
- Provides consultancy service to the various departments and Debswana subsidiaries, and networks with other organizations in developing appropriate training development programmes, assisting with needs analysis, identifying procuring institutions to assist with training.
- Scans the environment for industry best practice, analyses trends and recommends changes within the training arena for business improvement
- Manages subordinates’ key effectiveness areas by setting, monitoring and reviewing performance and taking remedial action as necessary.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives
