ASSISTANT MARKETING EXECUTIVE - BOTSWANA BUILDING SOCIETY


The Botswana Building Society requires a suitably qualified professional to assume the role of Assistant Marketing Executive.
Job Summary 
The successful candidate will provide support in the Marketing and Communications Department, including liaising with the Society's advertising agencies, organising corporate events and involvement in internal and external communications.

Requirements

Duties 
The duties of the Assistant Marketing Executive will include -
  • Acting as a liaison between the Marketing Executive and the Society's advertising agency to ensure timely completion of tasks relating to the Society's advertising or marketing campaigns.
  • Liaison with newspaper sales departments for placement of press releases and statements.
  • Assisting in internal communication of marketing activities and other communication.
  • Assisting in the implementation of the Society's corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Ensuring that corporate events are in compliance with the brand image of the Society.
  • Compiling information internally and externally for market research purposes.
  • Developing and maintaining effective public relations with customers, marketing professionals and external business contacts.
  • Assisting the Society's branches with promotions and marketing activities in their respective regions.
  • Draft marketing and communications briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing input into the development of marketing and communication plans
Education/Certification
A Bachelor's Degree / Associate Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Marketing
Required Experience
At least three years of experience in marketing, public relations or advertising.
Required Knowledge and Competencies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
  • Good organisational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with graphic art tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Office and MS Excel
