COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
Job Purpose
To provide communication, stakeholder engagement and internal relations support to the MCM 3 Project through initiating, developing and implementing communications structures/ systems and management of all public relations within the Project.

Requirements
Key Activities
- Creates and maintains excellent company image through living and promoting the MCM
- Values.
- Conducts environmental scanning prior to every project task, monitors and evaluates planned communication activities.
- Reviews and monitors the effectiveness of Public Relations and internal communication
- platforms and makes recommendations to Chief Communications Officer.
- Coordinates internal and external stakeholder events in line with Communications frameworks
- To coordinate and manage MCM3 Legacy initiatives
- To manage social complaints and Grievances relating to MCM3 Project
- Manages Project interest groups and external business partners.
- Participates as a team member in the development of the operation’s communication plan.
- Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/requirements.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of MCM3 Project objectives.
- Implements Safety, Health and Environmental programs in area of responsibility
Minimum Education, Training & Experience Requirements
- Degree in Public Relations/Communications or related field coupled with 5 years’ experience in Communications or Public Relations with 3 years at supervisory level.
- Supervisory Development Program
- Stakeholder engagement/Negotiation skills
- Knowledge of SHE management systems (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001).
