BOTSWANA INSTITUTE FOR DEVELOPMENT POLICY ANALYSIS (BIDPA) is looking for a talented and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead this pivotal function. The HR Manager will work with senior executives and managers across BIDPA. S/he will be responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of high quality strategies, services, advice, and support ensuring that HR management activities support BIDPA’s strategic and HR plans as well as operational plans.
Requirements
Education and Essential Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution with a major in human resources or a related field. A master’s degree in human resources, strategic management or related areas will be an added advantage. Work experience of eight (8) years developing and managing human resources systems and supervisory experience, of which three (3) years should be at management level.
Job Role: Plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management systems and activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources in the whole organization. Also to manage functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, leave administration, and regulatory compliance
Key Performance Areas: Recruitment and employment; training & development; compensation & benefts; employee relations; rules and regulations; budgeting & fnancial management; human resource information system
Competencies & Skills: Strategic planning, complex problem resolution and general management expertise, outstanding communication and presentation skills, high level of interpersonal skills and integrity, solid team player, creative and forward thinker, coaching and leadership skills, strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Required documents: An applicant for the Human Resources Manager should include (1) Detailed CV; (2) Names of 3 contactable referees one of whom must be a direct supervisor and one a direct report (past or current), (3) a personal profile statement up to 1000 words clearly indicating why the applicant has ideal ft for the job. As part of the personal statement, describe your strengths in terms of specific achievements and areas of expertise which emphasize those areas of key skills and experience that are relevant to this job.
