Provide technical support and service internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction.
Coordinate the preparation of quotes and enquiries
Assist in order expediting
Project liaison.
Travel 70 % in the country and some abroad travels
Promote service, in the allocated areas of responsibility to various clients.
Sustain & improve service
Support all Metso Products/Product Specialists in the field.
Visit customers in accordance with ranked call schedule and execute spares sales.
Retrieve drawings of spares from engineering department and identify the appropriate spares when received
Ensure the correctness of spare specifications
Generate and submit quotations for spares in liaison with spares sales co-ordinate
Sell mill component upgrades where potential is identified
Give expert advise to customers ie. Knowledge of spares and components
Identify reconditioning, field service and mill liner opportunities.
Achieve the annual sales targets for the territory
Requirements:Matric
ND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Previous experience as a Sales Engineer in a mining environment
Technical Background (Understand & read technical Dwg's.)
Mining sales background with customer relations.
Admin. - quote registers ; sales forecasting ; sales budgets etc.,
Communicator - Handle customer needs & customer complaints.
Handle stress in breakdown situations.
Plan & use own initiative.
Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
Good market knowledge
Good technical and sales background
An existing customer network would be beneficial
Computer literacy is essential
Fluent in english
