For 50 years, we’ve been campaigning for human rights wherever justice, freedom and truth are denied. We’ve reshaped policies, challenged governments and taken corporations to task. In doing so, we’ve changed thousands of lives for the better. The Finance department of the International Secretariat (IS) is accountable for €240m of annual global funds raised for human rights work across the world. It plays a pivotal role, maximising the effectiveness of Amnesty’s funding to further the cause of improving global human rights.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will lead the global consolidation of financial information for Amnesty entities, finalise and publish the quarterly Global Management Accounts - you will be responsible for the development of these accounts so they can be used by stakeholders for local and/or global strategic decision making.

You will work with other members of the International Accounting Team to ensure that the international finance community is implementing best practice in financial governance, controls, management and reporting through the delivery of regional skill-shares and provision of tailored section support.
You will also support the International Fundraising Programme with financial due diligence of local entities fundraising loan applications and financial monitoring during the loan term.
In addition you will manage and support key projects to achieve the ‘One Financial Amnesty’ strategy – aiming to ensure global resources are allocated to support the strategy and continuing financial viability of the movement.
Building on recent team changes, you will help maintain a high-performing and committed team culture. You will be responsible for the management and development of your two direct reports.
ABOUT YOU
CCAB qualified or equivalent, you will have strong project management and team leadership skills. You will have excellent financial accounting, control and reporting experience and communication and influencing skills.

Fluency in an additional language other than English is desirable.
