REFERENCE: FIELD EVALUATION OF HIV POINT-OF-CARE TECHNOLOGY FOR VIRAL LOAD TESTING IN BOTSWANA STUDY

Senior Research Nurse - (One-Year Fixed Contract, Fulltime) One Position

Requirements

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) review clinical records of patients to establish that study eligibility criteria are met, (ii) collect biomedical data and biological samples including blood from study participants, (iii) maintain accurate and complete data collection and clinical note records of study participants, (iv) draft relevant study reports, (v) develop quality assurance (QA) guidelines and standards for the smooth running of the study, (vi) supervise Junior Research Nurses and (vi) implement project action items in conjunction with the PI and the research team.

Requirements: To qualify for appointment as a Senior Research Nurse candidates must have at least: (i) Degree in General Nursing, (ii) be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana as a RN and possesses a valid practicing certificate, (iii) fluency in both English and Setswana languages and (iv) at least three years cumulative experience working as a Registered Nurse and one year research experience. The candidate will be required to perform the duties outlined above with strict adherence to good clinical research ethics and study protocols.

Reporting: The Senior Research Nurse will report directly to the local Principal Investigator and indirectly to the Research Team.
