SECURITY SPECIALIST
Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Manager, Office Facilities and Services, the incumbent responsibility will
be to provide advice on all aspects of security to ensure provision of appropriate levels
of security to safeguard the Council’s examinations, premises, personnel and other
assets; and to make recommendations for the adoption of appropriate policies and
strategies in order to ensure the security of confidential information and documentation.
In addition, to manage the outsourced security services in order to ensure the provision
of an effective and efficient security service

Position Requirements
Education: A Degree in Security Management or related area.
Experience: At least five (5) years post qualification experience in a high security work
environment with a good understanding of best practice in physical and electronic
security services and investigation techniques. Knowledge of the Botswana Criminal Law
is essential, while basic police training will be an added advantage.
