Main Purpose of the Job
To plan, organise and coordinate the development of quality assessment procedures and
instruments for a subject to ensure valid and reliable assessment of the candidates at all
levels of examinations.

descriptors, specimen papers
• Availability of quality question papers and mark schemes
• Consistency of standards
• Availability of trained setters and moderators
• Provision of technical advice during standardisation and marking
• Availability of examination reports
• Minimal queries on question papers
• Up-to-date item banks
• Availability of historical records and archived scripts
• Security and confidentiality of question papers
• Compliance with quality assurance standards

Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and a professional qualification in Education or Experience: A minimum of six years teaching experience at least two (2) of which should
have been at a senior level.
