Plant Manager

1.25 MW Tobela SolarPower plant

One of Botswana’s fastest growing providers of specialist operations and maintenance services on solar PV is looking to expand their team.

We are looking for experienced hand on Electrical Engineer to join the team and manage the O&M of a 1.25MW Solar PV Plant in the village of Tobela - near Shoshong BOTSWANA.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, managerial experience with minimum 5 years track record handling low and high voltage electrical installation, will be responsible for smooth operation of the plant and delivery of power to the grid, capable for preventive and reactive maintenance, managing logistics, procurement and stock of parts, and supervising the deliveries of site-based technicians and staff. Produce regular operational reports.

Essential skills

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• ERB registration certificate
• ERB practicing certificate
• At least 5 years hands on’ experience in managing power and technical staff.
• Experience with MV/HV electrical equipment
• Specialist knowledge of Solar PV, O&M
• IT Skills, including MS Office
• Full Driving License
