SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure consistency of service delivery in the designated camps, drive the guest experience and look at ways of improving service levels. This is a bush-based position with a direct reporting line to the Operations Manager of the designated camps.

Requirements
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- Working with Regional Service Manager in setting and maintaining Minimum Standards for camps and ensuring effective communication of these to the staff in camp.
- Conducting Service Audits of each camp that cover all aspects of the guest experience on a monthly basis with requisite follow-up.
- Working closely with F&B staff and OWS Food Experience Team to ensure food and beverage standards are upheld.
- Understanding the Wilderness Safaris ethos and ensuring we operate according to that standard.
- Ensuring that signature experiences are in place at each camp and become minimum standard.
- Ensuring implementation of service initiatives.
- Liaising and travelling with external consultants for service training and interior design projects.
- Responsible for camp budgets for Softs, ensuring timely replacement of décor items and monitoring softs asset management.
- Management of the Guest Information system, including analyzing guest feedback on a monthly basis.
- Monitoring camp Trip Advisor accounts.
- Ensuring the Wilderness Online Training system is driven and objectives per camp and per staff member are met.
- Working closely with OWS Training Department to ensure training needs in camp are addressed and service levels are constantly being improved upon.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A relevant tertiary qualification pertinent to either management or hospitality.
- A minimum of 3 years camp/lodge management experience.
- Experience working in remote areas.
- Knowledge of current service and décor trends.
- Driver’s license.

- Strong eye for detail and sense of style.
- High levels of energy and enthusiasm to drive the guest experience.
- An outstanding desire to increase the skills of staff and to constantly motivate them.
- Ability to manage financial budgets and to meet set targets.
