Reporting to the CEO the incumbent's responsibility is to act as a Custodian for Clinical protocols at unit level and ensure high standards of patient care and monitor the Protocol /compliance for all medical services in the hospital.
Requirements
• Registered as a medical practioner with Botswana Health Professional Council
• Minimum 10 years medical/clinical experience
• Specialist registration an advantage
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong management and communication skills
• Degree in Medicine
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
• Interact with health managers and health ministry at a senior level
• Experience in Marketing Clinical Services in Botswana and internationally an advantage

Main Responsibilities
• Provide leadership in own field of expertise
• Direct onsite monitoring of patient safety and quality of care
• Provide clinical support to the CEO including supervision of doctors
• Provide oversight of clinical governance activities e.g. antibiotic stewardship, clinical
audits, peer review, resuscitation , mortality and morbidity etc.
• Ensure compliance to relevant health legislation in Botswana
• Monitor the Protocol /compliance for all medical services in the hospital
• Coordinate with the Nursing Manager on relevant issues to deliver on Service-quality
• Set up & ensure the regular functioning of the various clinical committees, in consultation
with the CEO
• Direct onsite monitoring of patient safety and quality of care
• Provide clinical support to the CEO including supervision of doctors
