OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE (UNDERWRITING)

Position Summary 
The person will be responsiable for developing and driving strategy implementation, improving performance. productivity, efficiencies and profitability of Hollard Insurance Botswana Corporate and Commercial lines business.

The position win be responsible for, among other things, the following:

• Strategy development and Implementation
• Participate in price/rate setting solution/services
• Governance and compliance of the company operational envionment.
• Facilitate underwriting processes, making sound and consistent decisions in accordance with Company's underwriting philosophy
• Binding Hollard on offered coporate risks, within Hollard Reinsurance Treaty terms and Condtions.
• Develop and maintain win, win, win relationships with stakeholders and intermedaries.
• Analyse operational metrics includng: MI data utilized for company reporting, ongoing review of actual productivity and forecast modelling: all relevant operational underwriting reporting.
• Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for Insurance product campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Team development through training and mentoring to ensure motivation and retention of talent.

Qualification and Experience
The right candidate must:

• Be a qualified insurance professional with a professional Insurance qualification (FIISA FCII) or Risk Management degree or Qualifications in financial management services.
• Have minimum of ten (10) years' experience in an executive management position
• Have a good understanding of large corporate accounts and reinsurance
