1.GENDER OFFICER
1.1.Job Purpose
One key area of interest for BONASO is Gender mainstreaming in HIV/AIDS programming, BONASO wishes to engage a Gender Officer to provide leadership and support to Gender and GBV initiatives. The successful candidate will coordinate gender initiatives and related activities. This person calls for ensuring that gender based violence is sufficiently integrated into BONASO activities. These include working with Gender Committees and providing assistance in implementing gender related activities ie Ensuring that gender and gender based violence is sufficiently integrated into BONASO activities, developing, identifying and disseminating gender training material to districts. The successful candidate should be able to work with staff to sustain existing activities and develop new initiatives that will further the BONASO gender approach. Conduct gender audits, conduct site visits to districts to support gender related activities. Assist to maintain and update calender on gender events, monitor, evaluate and share gender practices and tools.
1.2.Qualifications, Competencies and Experience
•University Degree in a relevant field, preferably Gender Studies; ideally with a gender focus or specialization.
•Minimum of three (3) years experience in gender-related work environment
•Excellent professional oral and written communication skills.
•Demonstrates high degree of professionalism, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ability to work independently, multitasking, prioritization work and the ability to meet deadlines.
