2.GRANTS OFFICER
2.1.Job Purpose
This position provides financial and grants management support to U.S Government and other sponsored award portfolios at the BHP, Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; preparation of grant proposals, developing budgets, reviewing and reconciling expenditures, providing forecasts, monitoring income receipts, maintaining award data and reporting to sponsoring agencies. Interpret regulations and guidelines of program funding and assist investigations/institution with achieving compliance. Requires ability to multi task, meet competing deadlines, and the ability to set priorities for timely and comprehensive completion of tasks. Must provide outstanding and consistent service and contribute to/support a team environment.
2.2.Qualifications & Experience
•Accounting/Finance degree with 2-3 years experience is a requirement, 1 year of which should have been in a similar environment.
•The candidate must have prior experience in Financial Management and accounting or related field Grant Management experience would be an added advantage.
•Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office especially excel; sound management skills including budgeting, variance analysis and other reporting tools.
