1.INSIDE SALES AGENTS
1.1.Job Purpose
Where you the most popular kid in high school? Do you talk to yourself in the mirror every morning? Do you help old ladies across the street in traffic? If you answered YEST to the above, Alpha Direct is looking for you to join its growing inside sales team!
1.2.Responsibilities
•Handle and manage customer inbound calls
•Answer customer inquiries regarding products or services
•Re-route customer calls to appropriate sales personnel
•Maintain a database of customer calls, their needs and requirements
•Conduct market research and field survey for clients, products and services
•Prepare sales reports
•Develop and maintain business relationships with policy holders
•Counsel and advice prospects and policyholders on matters of protection and coverage.

•A certificate of Proficiency (C.O.P) in short term Insurance from the Insurance Institute of South Africa or equivalent
•Two (2) years experience in sales or client service environment preferred
•At least one (1) year experience selling short term insurance products in the business market
•Excellent communication, Interpersonal and negotiation skills
•Call centre experience in sales environment
•Analytical skills to understand complex coverage details and underwriting guidelines
•PC Knowledge - Word, Excel an advantage.
•Two (2) years experience in sales or client service environment preferred
•At least one (1) year experience selling short term insurance products in the business market
•Excellent communication, Interpersonal and negotiation skills
•Call centre experience in sales environment
•Analytical skills to understand complex coverage details and underwriting guidelines

2.JUNIOR CLAIMS UNDERWRITER
2.1.Job Purpose
Is your nick-name Sherlock Holmes? Do you always want to get to the "bottom" of things? Do you seek pleasure from shifting through vast amounts of data? When you see a fire, do you first wonder what caused it? Do you play "spot the difference" weekly in the Sunday newspaper? If you did not have to think about answering those questions, you could be our next Junior Claims Underwriter!
2.2.Responsibilities / Duties
•Work independently to verify information presented in claims from Alpha Direct customers
•Work with customers to retrieve any additional information required
•Red flag items that require further investigation
•Co-ordinate communications with independent assessors, investigators, and other required to successfully process claims efficiently.
•Present claims statistics, analytics and reports to senior management (and yourself, of course)
•Go through checklists at the speed of light!
•Undertake other duties as assigned
•Work with customers to retrieve any additional information required

•An undergraduate Degree or Diploma from a reputable institution. Majors considered are finance,Accounting, Statistics, Engineering and Computer Science
•A qualification in forensic science is a major plus

3.ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
3.1.Job Purpose

We are looking for a person, who is able to work methodically, accurately and persistently with good oral and written communication skills able to work as part of our growing team.

•Sort and distribute incoming mail to areas and staff within the organisation and dispatch outgoing mail
•Write business letters, reports or office memoranda using Microsoft office tools
•Answer telephone inquiries from customers, attend to visitors and assist other staff in the organisation with their inquiries
•Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, faxing, mailing and filing
•File papers and documents as required
•Correspond independently with other "Alphas" and our stakeholders
•Undertake other duties as assigned
