JOBS AT Lerala Diamond Mine , FEB 2016

Mavekoo Consulting and a representative of the Lerala Diamond Mine will be at the Lerala Main Kgotla to conduct preliminary interviews from 6th – 9th February, 2016 to screen applicants to determine suitability and possible employment. It will be on a first come first served basis for these interview days from 9am – 5 pm.

You must bring with you a current CV or Resume.

The most suitable candidates will be progressed for a full formal interview, medical and references will then follow before offers are being made.

Employment Opportunities
With the recommissioning of the Lerala Diamond Mine in progress, we are seeking some experienced professionals to fill the following positions.

17 x Plant Operators – PO01
Responsible for operating various aspects of the processing plants under the supervision of the Processing Supervisor we require:
• 3 x Jaw/HPRC Crusher Operators;
• 3 x DMS Operators;
• 3 x Thickener Operators;
• 3 x Scrubber/ Cone Crusher Operators; and
• 3 x CCR Operators
• 2 x Recovery/X-ray Operators.

For all these positions you must have:
• 3-5 years’ experience in similar role
• Exposure Diamond mining industry experience
• Demonstrated commitment to safety

Mechanical Engineer – ME01
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe implementation of allocated engineering and maintenance projects and ensuring compliance with relevant Mining Regulations. To be successful you must have:
• Mechanical engineering qualification;
• 10 years experience in a similar role

Electrical Engineer – EE01
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe implementation of allocated electrical engineering and maintenance projects and ensuring compliance with relevant Mining Regulations. To be successful you must have:
• Electrical engineering qualification;
• 10 years experience in a similar role

4 x Diamond Sorters – DS01
To assist the Recovery Supervisor to ensure maximum or optimum recovery of diamonds through the sort house and ensure complete integrity and accuracy of all processes, records and shipment of product.
For these positions you must have:
• 5-10 years experience in a similar environment;
• High attention to detail with demonstrated accurate reporting and data recording experience.
• Proven commitment to safety

20 x Assistants – Ref: A01
Responsible for supporting the operators across various aspects of the processing plants we require:
• 3 x Boilermaker Assistants;
• 3 x Electrical Assistants;
• 3 x Thickener Assistants;
• 3 x DMS Assistants;
• 3 x Scrubber/ Cone Crusher Assistants; and
• 3 x Fitter Assistants
• 2 x Recovery/X-ray Assistants

For all these positions you must ideally have:
• Relevant mining industry experience;
• Demonstrated commitment to safety; and
• Applicants with fitter, electrician or boilermaker trade qualifications will be given preference

These positions will be working on a shift roster which will be discussed during formal interview stage and will require the successful applicants to relocate to live in or near Lerala.
