Lobatse crescent private and English Medium School is a combined school that houses a pre-school (reception class only); primary school from standard one to standard seven, secondary school from form 1 to form 5; A-S and A-levels.
The following criteria will be considered:
- Must be in possession of appropriate academic and professional qualifications from a recognized university, a relevant first degree with post graduate qualifications in educational leadership (or equivalent) after administration.
- Knowledge of IGCSE and GCE up to advanced level and/or HIGCSE will be an advantage
- A proven leadership or managerial record with at least 10 years of experience as a school head at a primary and secondary educational institution
- The candidate must be visionary and be conversant with effective leadership styles
- A high level of organization and administrative skills, including IT competency, the ability to structure a budget, implement control and to preset a comprehensive report to the auditors and the board
- The necessary empathy,integrity,communication and conflict resolution skills to deal successfully with the student staff and parents and other important stakeholders
- The vision and practical knowledge to be involved in the design and supervision of building etc required for future development
- A basic knowledge of labour regulations
- Experience in private schools will be an added advantage. Experience in both Primary and secondary schools will also be an added advantage.
Main purpose of the job:
- To provide strategic leadership in the management and coordination of Crescent School in order to achieve quality education to learners of all age groups and to enable individuals to attain their full potential for future advancement
- Talented, proactive, self-driven and visionary leaders are therefore sought to lead and direct the operations of the school.
Applicants must submit with their application a detailed CV, and certified copies of academic and professional qualifications.
Failure to submit such documentation will automatically exclude an applicant being considered. Applicants must be prepared to travel to Lobatse. Botswana to attend an interview and must prepared to commence duty on 23 July 2014.
