Tsamota is searching for security sector reform experts to join our roster of experts in association with a bid the company is working on. Applicants should have considerable expertise in security best practice specifically in matters surrounding rules of engagement.
A demonstrated track record of security best practice as it pertains to corporations would be a considerable advantage; specifically any expertise implementing or advising on the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPoSHR) and/ or the International Finance Corporation’s Performance Standards.
Tsamota Ltd is an international security sector reform consultancy which delivers projects on behalf of the private sector and donor agencies including the EU, US and UK governments in complex environments around the world. The company is HQ’ed in Manchester, England, though the role would be home based with international travel.
Prerequisites (do not apply unless you meet all of the following criteria):
- Professional standard of spoken and written English
- At least 10 years operational experience with police/ military/ private security or professional with significant security sector reform experience or in- house or consultant with experience implementing VPoSHR.
- Education to degree level or senior (Inspector or above) police officer or commissioned military officer.
- Demonstrated report writing and/or training capability.
One or more of the following would be considered a significant advantage:
- Experience implementing or consulting on the VPoSHR.
- Experience implementing or consulting on the IFC’s Performance Standards.
- Spoken and written French and/ or Spanish to a professional standard. Other languages an advantage.
- Corporate experience within a multinational corporation.
