PART-TIME COMPUTER LAB DEMONSTRATORS (7 Positions)

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct lab demonstrations in the Business Information Systems Degree programme. Other duties include marking of lab tests/tutorials, laboratory supervision and any other duties as maybe assigned by the Head of Department (immediate supervision will be under academic staff).

Requirements:  Applicants must have at least a Bachelors’ degree in a relevant area (e.g. Business Information Systems, Computing) with at least a 2(i) pass / GPA of at least 3.6.  In addition, candidates must be knowledgeable in information systems security, e-commerce, object-oriented database design and development and demonstrate programming abilities in the following: Python, VBA Excel/Access, Ms-Visio, PHP and MySQL, Advanced Excel, Pastel Accounting, SQL, Java, JavaScript and DHTML. Prior experience in Computer lab demonstration at University level will be an added advantage. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently unemployed.

Remuneration:  The University offers a competitive hourly rate for Part-time services.
