Organizational Setting |
The Department of Technical Cooperation (TC) consists of the Office of the Deputy Director General, four regional Divisions (Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe and Latin America), the Division of the Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT) and the Division of Programme Support and Coordination. It provides strategic direction for the IAEA's technical cooperation programme, and is responsible (in close collaboration with Member States) for the planning, formulation, implementation and monitoring of the programme, in line with the IAEA's Medium Term Strategy. The Division of Programme Support and Coordination is responsible for the development, promotion and consistent application of strategies, policies, standards, tools and systems to support the technical cooperation programme. This includes quality assurance and enhanced results-based programme management, training and capacity development, expanded cooperation through existing and new partnerships and resource mobilization, efficient management of financial resources, data and information, as well as outreach and reporting. The Finance and Information Management Section is responsible for the development, standardization and consistent application of implementation tools, processes and agreements; for the efficient use of programme funds through budgeting and financial monitoring; for providing supporting information, data and statistics; and for the development and enhancement of information technology support systems including communication systems. |
Main purpose |
Reporting to the TC Finance Unit Head, the incumbent leverages technical knowledge of the Oracle PPM Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for individual projects, the Award structure of the IAEA and financial reporting requirements of Donors to provide advice on the project structure including final solutions for ensuring the reporting requirements for donors and internal IAEA clients are met. He/she serves as a liaison with the AlPS Support Unit (ASU) and the departmental focal point on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) user training and support. The incumbent provides analytical input into interpretation of OBIEE reports for financial management and procurement requisitioning issues. |

The incumbent is: a knowledge contributor, providing technical expertise and support related to the Oracle module for the TC (Finance/Programme Project Module (PPM)) process, procurement requisitioning and OBIEE reporting. |
Partnerships |
The incumbent liaises and collaborates with all levels of staff of the IAEA's Department of Technical Cooperation, with senior management, with staff from other departments including MTIT's ASU and MTBF. |

Remuneration |
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $56 198 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $38 720*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; 6 weeks' annual vacation, home leave,pension plan and health insurance.
