Job purpose and key deliverables | To develop and drive the appropriate Human Resources strategies and policies to ensure that effective and efficient Human Resources tools and systems and best practices are implemented in a conducive environment reflecting Company values, so that the best talent may be attracted, developed and retained for the achievement of Company’s Vision and objectives.
Key Deliverables
- To support the Talent Review Process in order to ensure that the organisation is adequately resourced at all times with First class people to meet its objectives.
- Assists in developing a robust talent pipeline (leadership) through the development, implementation and alignment of various programmes e.g.
Growth Academy etc.
- Ensure that the company utilises first class recruitment processes and selection techniques to recruit the best talent in line with the business needs.
- To ensure that employees have appropriate training & development plans addressing actual and future organisational & individual needs in order to ensure the growth of world class talent from within and that
employees at all levels are developed appropriately to meet future challenges.
- Draws up a consolidated training plan and monitors same ensuring that it is met as far as possible.
- After consultation with Country Manager on Human Resource Planning, prepares figures for Company Plan with respect to Employees' benefits and remuneration.
- Liaises with Financial Department for workings and queries.
- Updates current of FSVE employee's benefits. Prepare variances against Co Plan, QPR with analyses.
- To initiate, advise, co-ordinate and monitor the various roles in the organisation and the job evaluation process in order to ensure an updated reflection of the
- company's distribution of key accountabilities; that roles are fully aligned with the corporate expectations and are clear to all incumbents; and that roles are fairly graded within the Company.
- To ensure that the necessary tools and mechanisms are in place for the continuous improvement of business.
- To effectively manage change and cascade company values in the organisation.
- Effective management of service provider/ contractors to ensure value for money service in areas of catering, employee transport, cleaning and compound maintenance.
- Communicates with and advises Line Managers regarding HR related practices, policies and procedures thereby providing an efficient service to Line and enhancing the established business relationship.
- Assists in the implementation and alignment of the HR strategy and Functional specific strategies in the various functions contributing to the achievement of functional objectives and plans.

Essential requirements |
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources or similar.
- Sound knowledge of Human Resources Practices and procedures.
- Fluent spoken and written English and Portuguese.
- Sound knowledge of appropriate labour legislation, e.g. Board Compensation Committee’s, Labour Legislation, Unions etc.
- Atleast 5 years’ Managerial experience.
- Sound knowledge of Payroll, HR Administration, Systems, Pension Schemes and the underlying principles.
- Advanced computer literacy ·
