APCO Worldwide is currently seeking a Project Assistant- Financial Services to join its team in Brussels for a period of 6 months starting from beginning of July 2014.

The selected candidate will focus primarily on the financial services sector. Proven knowledge/experience in this field will be considered as an asset.
Responsibilities:
The following are specific duties assigned to Project Assistants and are performed on a daily basis:
- Conduct industry and/or client research
- Conducting audits and mappings
- Support to media relations
- Assist Consultants with tasks including but not limited to:
- Monitoring Media, institutional calendar, regulation& legislation updates
- Research
- Support to client work and new business opportunities
- Draft client materials
- Event coordination
- Mailings
- Translations
Qualifications & Standards:
- Degree and/or post-graduate degree in European law or politics, media/communication or equivalent
- Language skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written), excellent command of another EU Member State's language is considered as a plus
- Prior work experience: internship/stage at the European Institutions or in political sector, in-house or within an association desirable
- Keen interest and understanding of EU policymaking process and Financial Services policies desirable
- Excellent research and organizational skills
- Computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Eligible to work in the EU
