1.MOBILE PLANNING ENGINEER (3 Positions)
1.1.Job Purpose
Reporting to Mobile Network Operations Manager the incumbent will be working with BTCL internal clients user groups to define mobile network capability and infrastructure requirements, Translate users requirements into highly specified mobile network infrastructure project briefs, work closely with infrastructure developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction and also provide mobile network planning support for special projects across BTCL. Identify options for potential solutions, assessing them for both technical and business suitability. 1.2.Job Requirements
•The ideal candidate should posses a Diploma in Telecommunications or equivalent qualification

2.BSC ENGINEER
2.1.Job Purpose
Reporting to the Mobile Network Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining a high quality level of 3G radio network services, and ensure customer satisfaction targets are met, Provide effective technical support and continually seek quality improvements withing mobile network operations, reducing congestion and drops, improving the IRAT handover, soft handover, location update, paging, CSSR, RRC connection and RAB establishment success rate in his designated area of all voice, video packet and high speed, issuing capacity requests whenever needed. The incumbent will also be responsible for inconsistencies checks, packet throughput, parameter changes and physical changes. Responsible for testing the switching performance for the newly integrated sites.
2.2.Job Requirements
•The ideal candidate should posses HND or Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
•3 years of experience in maintaining mobile switching units.

3.MEDIATION SPECIALIST
3.1.Job Purpose
Reporting to Operational Support Systems Manager the incumbent will be responsible for configuring mediation systems and applying routine preventative as well as corrective maintenance, and perform systems configurations and development for small functional adjustments that do not hesitate the involvement of the vendor. The incumbent is also responsible for managing all upgrades to the mediation system in a way that do not interrupt or compromise day to day operations and also define exchange data in mobile, fixed line soft switch and support mediation requirements to meet the need for downstream application requirements, necessary for voice, SMS, data, video and other charging setup, ensure integration of various services and nodes to the existing platforms, produce regular user reports on mediation system quality.
3.2.Job Requirements
•The ideal candidate should posses a Degree in Computer Science or information science related course with 3 years or HND with 4 years experience
•Experience in Project Management methodologies and tools, working with ITIL environment and or formal ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
4.BILLING SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
4.1.Job Purpose
The incumbent should be able to ensure that the BTCL operate effectively and provide accurate and timely data for the production of customer bills and also monitor the integrity of billing data and take corrective steps where data integrity is compromised. Analyze requirements at all levels of billing services complexity, covering both standard plan for new products and customer specific pricing; design the implementation of billing functionality through configuration of system database tables to achieve required business results in an effective and maintainable way. The role holder shall be responsible for testing billing solutions to confirm, to correct operation under all circumstances and contribute to the development of standards and procedures for systems configuration.
4.2.Job Requirements
•The ideal candidate should posses a Degree in Computer Science or Information Science related course with 3 years or HND with 4 years experience.
•Experience in Project Management methodologies and tools, working with ITIL environment and or formal ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
5.SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
5.1.Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for installation, maintenance and upgrading of all BTCL server systems and ensure adequate power and air conditioning for all BTCL servers. The incumbent will ensure that all servers are fully backed up, will also ensure the physical security of all servers and ensure that access to servers is password protected and only authorized personnel have access to it. The incumbent will also monitor the performance of servers and identify problems that need to be resolved by the infrastructure team, will also undertake light programming activities in response to user's requirements.
5.2.Job Requirements
•The ideal candidate should possess a Degree in Computer Science or information science related course with 3 years or HND with 4 years experience.
•Microsoft certification experience in project management methodologies and tools, working in an ITIL environment and or formal ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
6.WEB DEVELOPER SPECIALIST
6.1.Job Purpose
The Web Developer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining all BTC websites and for developing websites for BTC customers. Design the website according to the agreed customer specification; upload the website, build content and other intranet applications. Use animations and design graphics (eg make use of web authoring software such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio). Provide demonstrations and gain customer agreement to the pilot website. Make post-pilot amendments and had over to the customer. Work with internal and external customers to define the user requirements for a website; convert the user requirements into a technical design specification.
6.2.Job Requirements
•Degree in Computer Science or Information Science related course (emphasis on web design and programming), 3 years experience or HND with 4 years experience.
•Experience in Project Management methodologies and tools
•Experience working in an ITIL compliant environment and or formal ITIL certification.
7.MPBN ENGINEER
7.1.Reporting to the Mobile Network Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the switching performance statistics on a daily basis, achieve and maintain the radio network performance as per the contracted KPI's, responsible for reducing congestion and drops improving the IRAT handover, soft handover, location update, paging, CSSR, RRC connection, RAB establishment success rate in his designated area for all his voice, video packet and high speed, issuing capacity requests whenever needed, testing the switching performance for the newly integrated sites and maintain accurate records for mobile switching units.
7.2.Job Requirements
•The candidate should possess recognized Degree in Telecommunications engineering or HND or equivalent plus 3 years experience in maintaining mobile switching units.
