The IEC exists to facilitate the formation of a democratically elected government by delivering transparent, free and fair elections in accordance with established legal framework for Botswana and internationally accepted principles and standards.
Suitable candidates are invited to submit their applications for the above mentioned position in the Independent Electoral Commission.
Key Performance Areas
• Provides technical assistance and guidance on procurement regulations and procedures to IEC procuring Entities (PEs).
• Reviews and analyses PEs requirements, liaises with PEs to determine best procurement strategy to meet the needs of the requirements.
• Conducts markets research to ensure that advertised specifications are aligned to the new product developments.
• Compiles data contained in quotations/proposals/bids to facilitate the determination of the best supplier in terms of quality, delivery time, discounts and transportation costs among others.
• Identifies potential suppliers based on the requirements provided by the PEs.
• Procures bulk supplies to ensure compliance with the IEC local Procurement Plan.
• Prepares and distributes tender documents and evaluation of bids.
• Reviews vendor invoices, determines accuracy of charges and funding availability; management approval and processes suppliers invoices for payment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Strategic Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply Level 6 or Level 5 or any other related field.
EXPERIENCE At least six (6) years work experience in Purchasing, Supply and Materials Management, two (2) of which should have been served as Procurement Officer.
SALARY: D4 (P165,300 – P182,496) per annum.
LEAVE: 30 working days per year.
