Applicants are invited from suitable qualified Botswana Citizens for the below mentioned post on permanent and pensionable basis tenable in Tawana Land Board at Sehithwa Sub land Board.
VACANCY NO 1 OF 2016
DRIVER III
SALARY SCALE: B5 (P26 832 – P31 944) per annum
LEAVE RATE: 20 days per annum
QUALIFICATIONS: JC + Driver’s License Class B
EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years relevant work experience of which has been served as a driver. Having worked in Land boards will be an added advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o To perform daily service checks for oil, water, battery acid level, fuel brake fluid and tyre pressure before commencing the journey or trip. Refills or replaces where appropriate and report major defects to supervisor
o Washes and cleans the vehicle on daily basis.
o Records speedometer, readings, date and destination and obtains signature of authorizing officer at the commencement of the trip
o Ensure that the vehicle is equipped with all necessary tool and equipment and being responsible for safe custody of all such item.
o Reports accident to nearest police station and the supervisor and give an accurate written report outlining the circumstances leading to the accident.
o Cleans vehicle-parking areas
o Ensures proper loading of authorized loads, the security and safety of loads being carried and the safe unloading of their vehicle at destinations
o Informs the Transport Officer when the vehicle is due for service and makes arrangement for the vehicle to be serviced
o Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management
