* To implement Foreign Exchange strategy for Retail Banking and SME clients at acceptable risk whilst:
- Enhancing revenues by all transactions intra day.
- Pricing the clients of the Bank, efficiently.
* To support the Wealth Markets Products and Sales (WMPS) business in increasing client turnover through a combination of pricing, quality of advice and marketing strategies.
* To explore and develop Regional WMPS Strategies.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Develop strategies and initiatives in order to delivery Wealth Markets Sales and Products (WMPS) targets
* Revenue growth through trading in Foreign Exchange in line with the objective set.
* Ensuring that Market Risk and Counterparty limits are not exceeded.
* Ensure competitive pricing for SME / Retail Client transactions.
* FX positions are efficiently monitored and reconciled on a regular basis during the day and at close of business.
* Ensure that FX profitability is tracked and reconciled on a daily, monthly and year to date basis.
* To ensure that branch transactions are efficiently handled to prevent leakage of revenues.
* Assist junior team members to develop required skills in managing the WMPS desk through a process of coaching, appraisal, identification and action on training needs, with appropriate follow up to ensure that new learning is put to effective use.
* Network with internal customers, external market counterparties, and other SCB dealing centres, in order to solicit customer feed-back, gain market intelligence, benchmark trading techniques, and enhance the Bank's profile in the market.
* Contribute towards the achievement of sound office administration and timely response to internal and external communications.
* Ensure alertness to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank's efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to:' identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers.
Qualifications & Skills
* 5-10 years sound background and knowledge of Banking and ability to understand the flows and processes as it impacts the FX business.
* ACI certification is a must.
* The incumbent should posses a sound knowledge of economics and should be able to apply it while interpreting data.
* Extensive experience in dealing and understanding of Back Office Operations.
* Computer skills are essential.
* Good analytical skills are required in order to determine the direction of the markets.
* Good marketing and interpersonal skills are necessary to convenience clients and other participants.
* The incumbent should posses confidence and the ability to self motivate
