SALARY: D4 (P158, 940 – P175,476 per annum)
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.

QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma/ Degree in Transport Management or related fields
EXPERIENCE: At least 6 years relevant work experience, 2 years of which have been served as Principal Transport Officer or equivalent.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To plan, manage and coordinate transport management functions of the Land Board in line with fleet management procedures and standards
DUTIES
1. Evaluates insurance claims and makes recommendations to the management.
2. Compiles capital/ development and the vehicle replacement budget for the Land Board
3. Ensures that all transport operations in the user departments are effectively and economically carried out by spot checking on;
a. Operation record
b. Fuel usage records
c. Underutilization of vehicles
d. Misuse and accident investigations
4. Negotiates for transport hire for the Land Board
5. Consolidates finance and manpower budget estimates for the unit
6. Determines unserviceable vehicles in line with Fleet management procedures
7. Supervises, reviews and guides performance and development of the supervisees of the Transport unit
8. Verifies overtime and subsistence payments and monitor expenditure so as not over commit funds allocated in this regard.
9. Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management
