About the Job: 
GFA Consulting Group is seeking an MSME Lending and Training Expert (multiple positions). S/he will be responsible for working closely with different MSME finance institutions and their management to improve the efficiency of credit processes and operations.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Improve organization's MSME loan portfolio;
• Improve financial outreach including diversification of product range;
• Design and delivery of training programs with specific focus on credit risk management as well as banking and financial management, based on an initial needs assessment.

Qualifications: 

• Advanced university Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Management or in similar areas;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial institutions, in multiple areas, particularly in credit risk management, administration, and operations;
• Extensive experience in the financial sector;
• Experience in donor funded projects (EU, EIB, KfW, GIZ, etc.);
• Excellent spoken and written English (for Mozambique: fluency in Portuguese is mandatory);
• Previous working experience in southern Africa;
• Proven experience in capacity building/training;
• Experience in MSME lending and portfolio management.
