Job description:
Main purpose of the job: To implement Culture and Heritage, Arts, Sport and Youth programmes in the Sub District. Key Performance Areas: • Guides and supports implementation of all Culture and Heritage, Arts, Sport and Youth policies, projects and programmes in the Sub District. • Monitors compliance to policies and procedures. • Mobilizes contributions to the development of the Sub District Annual Plans based on the implementation of policies, projects and programmes. • Makes recommendations for the review of Culture and Heritage, Arts, Sport and Youth policies and programmes. • Provides professional guidance and administrative support to staff in the Sub District. • Consolidates progress reports on all programmes and projects implemented in a Sub District and submits to the District Coordinator. • Conducts regular field visits to monitor projects/programmes. • Identifies potential sponsors for Youth programmes and makes recommendations to the Sub District Coordinator. • Provides professional guidance and administrative support to staff in the Sub District. • Mobilizes contributions to the development of the Sub District Annual Plans based on the implementation of policies, projects and programmes. • Directs the development of Performance and Development Plans and performance reviews in the Sub District. • Consolidates the Sub District budget and manpower estimates and compiles it for submission to the District Coordinator. • Ensures the efficient utilization of the budget in the Sub District.
Job requirements:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Youth Work or Sport Administration or Arts Administration or Arts Management or Cultural Studies or Library and Information Studies or Archives and Records Management or a related field. Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years relevant post qualification experience, two (2) of which should have been served at D4 or equivalent level in a parastatal or private sector organisation.
