1. OFFICER CADETS – GENERAL STREAM

a. QUALIFICATION
(1) A Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognised institution.

b. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
(1). Botswana Citizens.
(2). Aged between 18-24 years (However, those with scarce qualifications, age limit can be waived).
(3). Be physically and mentally fit.
(4). No adverse criminal record.
(5). Candidates should be in possession of the National Identity card (Omang).
(6). Minimum entry height for females is 160 cm, Males 165 cm.

c. BENEFITS:
(1). Free accommodation and subsidised utilities (water, gas & electricity
(2). Optional contributory medical aid scheme (Government pays 50% and employee pays 50%)
(3). Compulsory contributory pension fund (Government pays 15% and employee pays 5%)
(4). Leave concession after every 2 years

d. REMUNERATION
(1). BDF offers a remuneration which is commensurate with qualification and skills.
Leave Days per Annum: 30 Days

e. KEY SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
(1). Be a team player.
(2). Be ready to serve in a variety of geographic locations and environment conditions.
(3). Be loyal and trustworthy.
(4). Be Creative.
(5). Quality decision making skills.
(6). Perseverance.
(7). Problem solving skills

Certified copies of relevant educational certificates, including BGCSE or equivalent, CV, references and Omang must be enclosed in the application and forwarded to:

CLOSING DATE: 16 MAY 2014 NB: Successful candidates will have to undergo a 12 months training before commissioning as officers.

Candidates who have applied for the trainee pilots need not apply for this post.

b. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
(1). Botswana Citizens.
(2). Aged between 18-24 years.
(3). Be physically and mentally fit.
(4). No adverse criminal record.
(5). Candidates should be in possession of the National Identity card (Omang).
