Requirements
THE JOB
Reporting to the Commissioner General, your key responsibilities will include: ensuring legal and regulatory compliance; leading the formulation of strategic and business plans and monitoring organisational performance in accordance with these plans; keeping board members informed of their legal responsibilities; organising, preparing agendas for, and taking minutes of Board meetings; dealing with key correspondence; and advising members of legal, governance, implications of proposed policies; provide support to the HR division on policies and industrial relations matters, liaising with external regulators and advisors such as lawyers and auditors.

THE REQUIREMENTS
You will have a Master’s Degree with at least 10 years relevant bachelor’s degree experience, preferably with specialisation in taxation and commercial law in a corporate environment, 2 years must have been at management level or equivalent. Admitted to practice in Botswana and detailed knowledge of Botswana’s taxation, customs and excise and other financial legislation are essential.
