POSITION: SURVEYOR

Requirements

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Ensures implementation and enforcement of the company’s SHERQ system
• Ensures accurate field layouts, provide set-outs and direction of mining works:
• Picking of blast hole patterns, calculating metres and volumes of each blast
• Regular survey pickups of active areas
• Archive accurately all data in both soft and hard copies
• Working with mine designs
• Calculate production volumes
• Ensure that all survey functions are compliant with all Statutory survey requirements
• Ensure that all survey equipment is calibrated and maintained at all times
• Liaison with Client at all times in sharing survey information and implementation

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A recognised Survey Diploma
• 5 years’ experience in Open Pit Survey
• Good safety management track record
• Computer literate and in particular conversant with Model Maker Software
• Ability to manage sophisticated spreadsheets and Databases
• Strong character , self-starter and can work with minimum Supervision
• Ability to work under pressure
• People management skills
