Duties and Resposibilities
1. Register all submissions to ministerial Tender Committee (MTC).
2. Pre-adjudicate all submissions submitted for adjudication.
3. Draw up agenda for Ministerial Tender Committee (MTC meeting.
4. Arrange for Ministerial Tender Committee (MTC) meetings.
5. Compile Minutes for all Ministerial Tender Committee (MTC) meetings.
6. Participate in all Ministerial Tender Committee (MTC) meetings.Â
7. Follow up and analyse all due end of Activity Reports.
8. Notify PE and Ministerial Tender Committee (MTC) decisions.
9. Accept and open tender bits.
10 Compile monthly Ministerial Tender Committee (MTC) decisions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Procurement Supply Chain Management, Business Administrations, Economics, Bcom or related field, A Master's Degree in the same field will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience two (2) of which should have been served at the level of D3 in the Public Service or equivalent in a Parastatal or Private sector organisation.
Principal Procurement Officer I - (D2)
Duties and Resposibilities
1. Advice the Ministry on stock range of different quantities of supplies to ensure that adequate stocks are held to meet the demand.
2. Monitors contractual agreements to ensure compliance, recommends amendments and extensions to contracts and advice on contractual rights and obligations.
3. Facilitates bulk procurement of supplies to ensure compliance with local procurement programme.
4. Conducts market research to ensure that advertised specifications are aligned to the new product developments.
5. Analyses material equipment losses; investigates losses; discusses findings with management; recommends policy and procedure changes; prepares and coordinates the implementation of changes.
6. Authorizes purchase orders of authorized limit and submits exceeding amount to the supervisor for approval.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Procurements Supply Chain Management, Business Administrations, Economics, Bcom or related field, A Master's Degree in the same field will be an added advantage.

Duties and Resposibilities
1. Oversee the procurement and disposal processes as well tendering process of the ministry to ensure adherence to relevant provisions of the PPDA Act and regulations.
2. Coordinate and oversee development and implementation of procurement plan
3. Coordinate and oversee contracts administration and preparation of end of activity reports
4. Advise on procurement matters requiring policy action and guides on all technical matters for effective procurement of goods, works and services.
5. Provides technical advice in the preparation of tender documentation, administration of tendering and evaluation of bids for contract awards.
6. Oversees maintenance of list of approved suppliers and evaluates supply capabilities and contractor performance.Â
7. Liaises with the functions under the Ministry to provide a consultancy service for the specification, process evaluation and awarding of relevant contracts.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Procurements Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Bcom or related field. A Master's degree in the same field will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant post qualification experience two (2) of which should have been served at the level of D1/D2 in the Public Service or equivalent level in a Parastatal or Private sector organization.

1. Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and employee pays 50%)
2. Contributory Pension Fund Scheme (Government pays 15% and the employee pays 5%)
3. 30 working days per annum
